Krom Apartment Project takes place on 20 meters away from Kismet Hotel located on the side street of Rectorate of Dokuz Eylul University in Alsancak, Izmir. It is a conducted project that the additional building of American Hospital was demolished and replaced with a new building for commercial and residential use. It is designed to be commercial on first three floors, and to be residential on the remaining five floors. The basement of the building is reserved for car park. Commercial floors are designed differently on front so that differentiated functions could be recognized from the exterior side. 3-floor store space was created within the gallery space and continuity was provided in one place. The project, in which the classic elements are skillfully interpreted, reveals their original identity among the surrounding buildings.
